Work for the Best in the North West*

Would you like to be part of a multi award winning NHS Foundation Trust that is one of the best performing Trusts in the region?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Radiographer for the Cross Sectional Team at Wigan.

The Department currently consists of 2 Siemens CT Scanners, a Definition AS+ and a brand new Definition Edge, both 128 slice and 2 MRI Scanners, a Philips Intera Achieva 1.5T MRI Scanner and a Siemens Aera 1.5T wide bore MRI Scanner.

This post has arisen due to the resignation of the current postholder.
It is a fantastic opportunity for Radiographers with a high level of MRI/CT experience, to broaden their skills and enhance their career.

You must have proven experience of an extensive range of MRI and/or CT procedures and a demonstrable high level of MRI and/or CT scanning knowledge. It is desirable for candidates to have successfully completed the IV Cannulation Qualification.

You should have evidence of ongoing CPD activities incorporating current advances in both CT and MRI.

You will have demonstrated the skills necessary to work as part of a small multidisciplinary Team and have the ability to take the lead within the team in the absence of Senior Colleagues.

It is a requirement of this post to participate in the CT on-call rota with a 30 minute response time. Candidates should have a flexible approach to their working hours as this contract will be flexible across 7 day working.

This post also involves occasional rotation through the General X-Ray Department.
